Boy what a busy day! Woke up had my coffee, got all the kids out of bed, gave them left over pizza for breakfast, and went outside to make soap. The sky was ominous, dark, and about to open fire with raindrops.
Luckily the raindrops never really came and I was able to accomplish my two pound batch of soap that I was preparing to make. This batch I used Beef tallow, olive oil, and coconut oil with the essential oils being lavender and peppermint.

Once my work was complete we all gathered into the van and headed to Costco. By the time we arrived back to the camper it was time to eat lunch, put groceries away, and make dinner. While dinner was in the instant pot we walked to the river to splash around to cool off.

At the river a water snake was spotted and the excitement ensued. It was swimming in the water where the kids were. I went over to grab them so they weren’t so close to it. I was worried about it being venomous and did not want them to get bitten.

So of course what happens is my son decides to pick the dang thing up to hold in his hands not knowing what type of snake it was at all. Luckily the snake did not bite and I was able to take a picture of it to ask Google lens. According to Google the snake is a rat snake so non venomous. Thank goodness for that because it was a baby and if it had bitten all that venom would have been in my son.

The girls were very excited at one point because they were able to witness the rat snake eat a frog. Unfortunately I did not get pictures of it happening so I am unable to share that.

Of course on the way back we had to see some horses. So for you horse lovers out there here is a picture.

For those of you who would like to know; dinner was a pot roast with bell peppers, chopped garlic, with salt and pepper, served over left over cauliflower mash.
I am almost done with day 4 and five of our trip to Montana and will be posting it soon. Thank you for your patience. There are a ton of pictures that I need to decide on. Sharing.
