Lake Havasu Hot air Balloon Festival

In January 2023, we woke the kids up at 5:30 am and took them to Lake Havasu. The multi-balloon take-off was supposed to happen at 7:45 am and we wanted to be on time to see it. We had many questions about where are we going. And, why is it so early? And many more. To our surprise, the kids stayed awake for the whole hour’s ride to the lake. We were expecting them to fall back asleep.

Once we arrived in Lake Havasu we found a spot to park and a restroom for me. Jer and the kids went ahead to find a good place to observe the influx of flying hot air balloons. After about an hour of not seeing all balloons in the air, we decided to take a ride around town and discovered them interspersed throughout the town. We were able to at least see a few take off from the ground. Below are a few pictures of our adventure.

I was amazed by all the different shapes of hot air balloons. I for one did not realize that they could be made into animals or a bottle of champagne. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Thank you for stopping by.
