Today Ida is closer

Saturday I decided to do week 2 day 3 of my running regimen in preparation for the high winds that are coming our way. I definitely did not want to be outside for that. The ear buds were hooked up to my phone and to my ears. The binaural beats for running was playing and I was able to get three quarters of the way through my run before it got too tiring. I will most likely restart week two over. Only because I do not feel as if my body is ready to run for three minutes at a time.

That same day I tried out a hooverboard and fell on my ass. Thank goodness my son is taller then me and stronger than he looks. He was able to save me from banging my head on the road.

I was actually able to stand up straight
Then boom! On my ass I went!

Sunday came and Ida hit Louisiana at around lunch time. Before it hit though we were having rain come and go. The wind was not strong at that time. As morning turned to night the winds picked up and started shaking the camper. We were in the tropical storm part so the winds really only got around at the highest 55mph. The camper did not shake as much as I expected it too. The tornado warnings were what had me all nervous. At one point last night a branch fell onto my bedroom slide and had my middle daughter wake up saying “(I didn’t do it)”, Which had me chuckle quietly to myself. As soon as the air was turned back on due to the generator kicking on at like two am this morning I finally fell asleep. My kids on the other hand slept through the whole night with the exception of my middle child waking up to say she didn’t do it.

Currently at 10:05am the winds are not so bad and it is not raining. There is some flooding at the Campground we are staying at but it is already starting to go away. As far as I can see so far there are only branches down and two downed wires.

We are very lucky to be in the lot we are in.

A copper head one of the residents here killed!

So itty bitty!
But can be very deadly!
