Day 2 of Week 2!

This morning I woke up when my alarm went off!yay for me! It is going on 6:10am and it is only 75° out. Not bad compared to the heat before. With all of this training I am noticing a decrease in my resting heart rate. I feel a bit more energized and I am starting to slightly enjoy my solitude while running.

The weather at this moment! It will most likely rain in a couple hours!

I am still working on my breathing. It Sometimes feels as if I am unable to fill my lungs properly and let it out evenly. The breathing part will come  eventually! It was recently suggested to me to play some music. This way I get out of my own head and focus on something other then how my lungs are feeling, the fact my nose keeps running, and also how my feet hit the ground. So for the next run I’ll be playing some music to see if this helps me out.

I see a slight improvement in my pace!

At the moment we are having torrential down pours due to hurricane Ida that is rolling in from the gulf. It better hold out on the rain on Sunday because I need to keep going with my routine when it comes to running. Or man I am hoping that it moves farther west by Sunday and we have nothing to worry about.

Today is an easy day for school. We wrote in our journals and watched a couple YouTube videos on how to build stone houses. My son worked on his math and vocabulary. Now we are headed to Mississippi Sandhill Crane wild life refuge for a little field trip.

We love finding wild shrooms and photographing them!
These are yellow-fringed orchids
Damn beetles showing the kids how it’s done! The kids were all yelling mom, mom, look they are mating!
My middle found this spider enjoying it’s afternoon snack
Nom! Nom! Nom!
These mushrooms looked beautiful as the rain fell; so bright orange against all the brown.
My Inature app informed me that these are an American beautyberry!
