Accomplishment/ week 3 day 2

Today started off amazing! I woke up at around 4:30 this morning but did not get out of bed until about 5:00am brought my laundry to be done and made coffee. When the washer was done I went and changed out the laundry to the dryer and went for my run. Came back made breakfast, ate, took a shower, packed lunches all before 10:00am. I haven’t done this much first thing in the morning since before my son was born. Especially when it comes to chores. If I were to think about it though I really did not accomplish to much. It is all the things I normally do just more congested and before noon. Eh well I felt very proud and of what I got done. Onward and upward I guess.

The most important thing I did was go running. The running happened after I switched the laundry from the washers to the dryers.

This time around the first three minute went amazingly well! The second three minute run was good. I did not tell my app to say walk, or even start panting for breath until it actually said to walk for a five minute cool down.

What I noticed is that even though my time for sleeping has dissipated some my sleeping is more restful, resting heart rate is lowered, blood pressure is back to normal, and blood oxygen is higher, all due to running three times a week. I am thinking about running two days in a row then take a break and run two days again. This is just to see how my body has adjusted to all the cardio I have been doing the last four weeks (I’ll probably start that the first of October).

Although there are still moments in day to day life I forget and let stress rule. I am able now to not respond immediately to a situation that may arise. Even though I want to yell and scream my head off over the littlest thing, I have those days less often now.

My son who is 12 I feel would benefit from any type of physical activity that will have his heart rate raised just refuses to do any type of exercise. He feels as if I am punishing him when I make him do cardio at least once a week and a stretching routine twice a week. For now I guess I’ll just let him decide and pray that he will come around to trying something soon.
