Week 4 day 1 / epiphany

The wind is blowing, fog is heavy, air is thick, and it is about to rain. For a bit it felt as if the rain was going to come down hard! I can say though the wind felt amazing as the sweat rolled down my back. Dripping into my eyes making them sting and soaking my clothes. There is nothing like a fitness program to give you an inner peace and help you shut out the world for at least the time that you are exercising.

Once I took out the competition with myself. It was much easier for me to run. It took running with my five year old for the light bulb to come on and say you do not need to see how far you can go in three minutes; just run for those minutes and do not worry about beating your distance. Let me tell you running felt amazing I was not exhausted or unable to keep going. Staying at a pace that worked for me and not pushing it: I felt on top of the world and happy, I could just keep going. I am so glad my five year accompanied me on Monday and I came to that realization.

This is the itinerary for this week! I took competing with myself away and did amazing on those five minutes runs!
The results of my hard work!

If you are following me and you are first starting out on your journey for running please remember you are not in competition! Go at a pace that is comfortable to you and you will be able to do the minutes that they put up on schedule each week. It is ok to push yourself but not if you are struggling to take a breath while doing so. Don’t give up keep going until you figure out what work’s for you!
