Week 5 Day 1

Today was the start of week Five Day 1! I went back and forth considering redoing week four but decided to just plow through and start week five. The first five minutes was easy! The second was getting to the point of not wanting to continue. The last five was very difficult!

It felt like a sauna out here today!

Forget that warm wash cloth over the face and replace it with steaming hot. Right when I walked out the door I felt my skin begin to drip with sweat. Droplets of moisture started to run down my forhead in rivers the first minute of running. The air was so thick with heat and condensation I was surprised we did not have rain this morning.

The itinerary for today! I was glad for those three minute walks!

Either way I did my five minute warm up walk! When it said run for five minutes I started to run. My breathing was even and easy. I walked for the three minutes and noticed that I was able to bring my heart rate down within a minute. It didn’t come down so fast but it wasn’t pounding in my chest the whole three minutes.

The second five minute run started off smoothly enough but by the end I was starting to feel a little dizzy (not sure the reason could be due to mucous build up and it being hard to breath in through the nose and out through the mouth). It also may be caused by how humid it is. I end up on occasion breathing in and out my mouth. When it came to the three minute walk it took a little longer for my body to adjust. I took four breaths in and four breaths out to help regulate my breathing.

These are the results through the couch to 5k/10k app!

The last five minute run I had to slow to a walk for a bit. About half way through I felt dizzy again. But like I said it was probably due to breathing in and out of my mouth. I also have not taken my vitamin D3/K2 in a while maybe should be taking that again to see if it helps with the dizziness.

To end my training I sat outside for a bit and relaxed to lower my heart rate a little more. I than did yin yoga gentle detox with Travis Elliot.

this is the link to the yoga video I used. I hope the day is wonderful and relaxing to you all.
