Redo week 1 day 2 couch 5k/10k

This morning we woke up to no electricity! It has been happening off and on. Sometimes it’s a month before it goes out again. This time around it has gone out twice in one day. It is not an electrical problem with the camper it is the outside where our cord plugs in to get the electricity! It needs to get fixed.

Well enough about our electric problem! Onto our training/gym exercise regimen! Today marks day two of week one again! This will hopefully keep the kids interested in running with me! We have slowed down a bit but that is fine.

The dang app says we are as slow as turtles 🐢 šŸ˜’

This time the girls kept focused and did not stop and look at each and every animal, bug, or shrub. I did however have to have Lucas run ahead a bit because he decided he needed to run at the same pace as us but also run in zig zags which causeed a commotion (the repeated “Lucas please stop running like that you are going to either trip yourself or one of your sisters).

I am still very happy that he is participating and doing this as a group instead of being way ahead or even far behind. I am hoping with the rhythmic motion of running it will help him sleep better and or help new neurons forge new pathways in his brain.

Ah well at least I am implementing HIIT now! The running before was helping me regulate my heart beat and my stress/anxiety. The bonus is slimming down as well.

This afternoon we turned to YouTube to learn about glass frogs for the kids while I did some yoga. Afterwards I looked up rhythmic movements. It was quite interesting! I have been told for a while that more cross body movements will help with focus and attention and have tried multiple cross body exercises.

Rhythmic movement therapy is something I have never heard of before. So I decided to look it up. It is quite interesting to say the least and from this day forth it will be part of our morning and afternoon routine. Rhythmic therapy is basically going back to baby stage and having your body move (kind of like a jiggle.

One exercise is to lay on your stomach with your forehead on top of your hands and all you have to do is wiggle the hips back and fourth without wiggling your head at the same time. Below is a link that I used to learn what rhythmic therapy is and how to do it

Here is an explanation for rhythmic movement therapy if you want to check it out.

Have a goodnight all!

Where to begin! I am first a mom of three; one boy and two girls. We travel around the US with my husband and homeschool on the road! last year I learned to make homemade soap and sell it for a small income.

    1. It is when you start by doing movements a baby does. For instance you lay on your back with your knees in the air and move up and down while keeping your body on the floor to a tune or nursery rhyme like row row row boat. Or you lay flat on your back and use your feet as windshield wipers to the tune of the wheels on the bus
. This is said to help form new pathways for cognitive and executive functions in the brain.
