We made beef jerky today! This is our first time making jerky and it did not come out so bad. I made some of the cuts too thick which is making them a little chewy. The next time I will make sure we cut it thinner!
Below are some pictures of the end results. I should have taken pictures throughput the whole process but I did not think about doing it until after the learning experience was complete.
Below is the recipe I found to give me some guidelines to follow. We did 3 each of salt and pepper added paprika instead of chili powder. We did not have coriander, cumin and turmeric. Like I said though this was just a guideline to help with how much of each seasoning we needed to use.
This was a fun activity and I will be doing it again with the kids. Not to mention homemade with no added preservatives.
