Couch to 5k/10k

Hi all! I just wanted to take a moment and say today is my 2nd day in training (I am not actually training to compete but to handle my stress better). I woke up this morning with an earache/headache and just did not want to run. As 7 o’clock rolled on up i decided what the heck!

One thing that is noticed right off is that my breathing starts out fine; but as time goes on I have a hard time filling up my lungs! I start panting rather then actually inhaling and exhaling lol! I am hoping that this will improve overtime.

Before the start of my training!
My sweaty self when training was complete

When my 30mins of jogging was complete and I went in everyone was still sleeping 😴. I took the opportunity to do some yin yoga to meditate and cool down even more. For my yin yoga I use Travis Elliot here is one of his yoga videos that I keep doing to stretch my hips and back https://youtu.be/9JvSJ-CgfJo

There is definitely more feelings of relief as I continue to progress. I just hope that as I keep progressing that I will not sabotage myself. Maybe if I keep telling myself I am worthy of feeling good and stress-free I well continue on with my goals!

I will be writing a blog post three times a week to keep myself accountable! Also to let you all know how I am doing with handling my stress. I hope I am able to inspire others to take time to themselves.

With that being said if you are worth it! Take time for yourself! It is ok to slow down and breath and it is ok to make your body healthy and happy!
