Working On It

This post was supposed to happen on Wednesday or Thursday this week so here it is today. This past week I have yet to run I am disappointed in myself at the moment. I did however do a hike on Saturday and did a Tabata workout on Tuesday.

The hike on Saturday was at the pine creek trails with the family. For the Tabata exercise, I timed myself by doing 30 seconds of hiit and 20 seconds of rest. For the 30 seconds of exercise, I did jump rope, planks, knee highs with twists, and toe touches. This was completed with many interruptions. The kids kept on yelling at each other and getting into things.

When the Tabata exercise was complete I worked on my legs. For legs, the workout was one set of 10 squats, one set of 10 front lunges, and a set of 10 caterpillers. Then I did some sumo squats, back lunges, and some more caterpillars.

I planned to run in the late afternoon all week but I got so busy doing everything else it got too late. In the back of my, I was worried that if I ran that late I would have a hard time falling asleep.

I have a plan for next week to run two to three times. On the off days, I will be doing a Tabata and some muscle-building training. I will not put it off to the point of not doing it.

I did however notice that my sleep improved and my bouts of feeling overwhelmed were reduced just by doing the little bit I did.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and thank you for stopping by and reading my post. Hopefully, I’ll do better next week posting on time. Feel free to like or leave a comment below.
